Cute at 8 weeks, a mild annoyance at 4 months…A total chaotic problem at 8 months. Dogs jump up for many reasons, but I’ll help you with some techniques to get the ONE right answer from your dog…keep your feet on the floor, not on the guests.
We will also discuss obnoxious, incessant Barking and send you home with some functional skills to start solving the problem that day.
We’ll also discuss door manners & as many other “out of control” behaviors that we can fit into this 1 hour seminar.

Leash Manners

Nothing is tougher than this one for many owners and dogs. We simply walk too slow, and obviously don't get the whole "sniff and pee" craze.
Teaching our dogs "self imposed self control" and the value of their owner is the basis for many of my training techniques, and it is especially true here. It doesn't happen
overnight, but I’ll give you some tips during this 1 hour seminar to get you started on the right foot.

THINGS TO BRING TO ASK THE TRAINER
1. You & your friendly dog
This is not the clinic to work on reactivity or aggression, but I have a great aggression treatment protocol available for Private lessons if you need it.
2. A hungry dog!
We’ll be using food in the training so skip the big breakfast.
3. A couple of toys your dog loves
4. Wear Comfortable shoes
5. Three (3) kinds of soft treats in a baggie cut up into pea size pieces
cheese, chicken, low-fat turkey dogs, etc. If you have questions about appropriate treats, please call.
6. Collar, Body Harness and/or Head Halter such as a Gentle Leader (all 3 if you have them) and a six foot leash.
No Retractable leashes please.
If you would prefer to come to the Seminars without your dog, that is perfectly alright.
Many clients can actually take in more information when they don't have to be fussing with their pooch.
Remember to bring a tablet and pencil to take notes.
Children need to stay seated and quiet during the Seminar for their own safety as well as the comfort level of the attending dogs.
